1) Are the flash intros here really free ?
Ans.>> Yes...100% FREE ( please review ) Terms of Use
The only "catch" ( if you are still looking for one ) is we put a small link on the flash intros back to our site. A small price indeed. Would you not agree ?
You may use as many items as you like providing, the links remain intact. We do offer the "option" of purchasing a flash intro or customizing it for your website, for a modest fee.
2) How can we get your link removed from the free intros ?
Ans.>> Some can be removed, others no. There is a modest fee for this service [ $5.95 ].
3) How can I install your intros on my website ?
Ans.>> Generally, just upload the downloaded files to your website [ be sure to de-compress or unzip the files first ] ( refer to install text included with intros ) Then save your "old index file" in a safe place for use later.PHP users and dynamic web page users may need special linking directions. It would be best to check with your webhost first. Note1: All our intros are linked the same way and thus can be used on any of your sites. They are are linked to any page in your website named "main.html" (quotes mine). The intro must be your "index" page (the file that is displayed when your URL link is clicked....your landing page) and hence you need to re-name your "old index" file to "main.html" (not the title) the folder. Be SURE to save the old index file in case of errors....stash it somewhere on your computer so that you can easily find it. Note2: Microsoft Frontpage Users ...If you are uploading using frontpage publisher, your index file uses the (.htm) extension, therefore, you will need to re-name the index.html from me to "index.htm"...the extension is different!!! Then, re-name your old index.htm file to main.html ( note...the different extensions ".htm" and ".html" ) they are not the same.
4) My website does not have a file named index.html, now what can I do ? Can I still use the intro ?
Ans.>> Yes! Find the file that is displayed when you click on your URL link. Some sites name this file "Home Page" or something similar. Whatever the name is, change that file to "main.html"... If their index page uses the extension ".htm" rather than ".html" you will need to re-name the index file you get from us to "index.htm" ( not the title in html....rather,the folder or file itself ).
5) What if I just cant get the intro installed? Can you help ?
Ans.>> Yes! We can install it for you. However, we will need your url login address, login name, and password. Be sure they are correct. There may be a fee for this service, based on the time needed to complete this task.Simple installs are usually free.
6) Some visitors say they cannot see the flash images....why ?
Ans.>> Have them check this link for the latest flash plug-in...it is free !!!
Get Flash Player
7) Can I use your flash intro with a "free" host such as Geocities, Tripod, Homestead, etc... ?
Ans.>> No.... if you use their "web-site-builder" it WONT work, otherwise, it works perfectly. This also applies to some paid hosts such as "Verizon" who create a website for you using "their" templates.
8) Can I make any changes myself to the free flash intros ?
Ans.>> YES! Open the Data.xml file. Open with notepad (word wrap helps), or if you prefer your html editor.
Then just change the "keywords" to whatever you wish, beginning with "keyword 1" There are more things
you can change , as you will see. Be sure to save your changes to the "Data.xml" file.
You can only change the amount of words that run in the movie,
so, if it uses 5 keywords then you can only use 5 keywords. Keep them short. Do not change
the structure of the file!
Once you have completed your editing just upload the files [leaving all folders intact]
to your website. They will overwrite any old files.
